BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE

It's

Oh Baby It’s Cold Outside!

Right now it’s 4 degrees outside with a wind chill of minus 10.  We have a Blizzard Warning in effect. We are expecting 14 to 18 inches of snow.  The weatherman is saying we can expect Thunder Snow.  I’ve never heard of that before.

Blizzard Warning:  The most dangerous type of winter storm.  Snow and strong winds are combined which produce a blinding snow with visibility often near "zero".   Whiteout conditions, deep snowdrifts, and life threatening wind chills often accompany a blizzard.  You should seek refuge from the storm immediately, or not go outside!  In a blizzard, winds are 35 mph or greater and visibility reduced to less than 1/4 mile with snow and blowing snow.

Of course, last night after the psychiatrist Gary and I went into Pathmark.  We needed milk and bread.  It was like a madhouse in there.  There wasn’t a load of bread to be found.  Or so I thought.  I located one loaf.  One lone loaf of Arnold Brick Oven White Bread just waiting for LuAnne to snatch up and bring home.  After all a blizzard was coming.  We bought some comfort food.  Nothing we couldn’t do without.  But, it’s human nature to nest before a snowstorm.  We bought cookies, milk, frosting, coffee-mate vanilla cream for my coffee, farina, tuna for tuna casserole, grated cheese for pasta on Sunday.  Made sure I had laundry soap of course, Ivory soap for the shower.  Plus some other shopping necessities.  We will be held up in the house for like 2 days.  Not the weeks of winter hibernation of the Little House on the Prairie Days.  But it makes for nice comfort and family time.  There’s nothing wrong with that.

Dear, my prayers are with you and your family that the storm doesn't take your power.  Here by St. Louis we only have a lot of wind and flurries.  The sun has come out for a visit even!  You'll have to fill us in on what exactly "Thunder Snow" is, it certainly sounds like it would interesting!
Sounds as if your spirits are up some, I'm so very glad to see that!  Again, prayers are with you and yours during this storm.  Please take care dear!
