Is God concerned about our pain?

This week's promise: God will wipe away sorrow forever!

Is God concerned about our pain?

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 25:8

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away
Revelation 21:4

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3

About This Week's Promise

One of the great common denominators of human experience is sorrow. Guaranteed. From the loss of a pet in childhood, to the loss of a childhood through abuse or neglect; from a child losing a parent to a parent losing a child, sorrow is inevitable. From the predictable and necessary to the random and tragic—the losses of life drape the hallways of our years.

The Bible acknowledges that sorrow and grief are part and parcel of human life, even for those who love God. But Scripture does not leave sorrow as the last word. God redeems our losses with his own promise of comfort and hope. (from...

Please leave a one word comment that you think best describes me.  It can only be one word.  No more.

Then copy and paste this into your journal so that I may leave a word about you...    (Stolen from  Christina's journal my journey with Multiple Sclerosis)

Been trying to keep my head above water these days. I'm really feeling quite horrible.  But I have to make it until tomorrow evening.  Then I can collapse.  Tomorrow is my daughter Lauren's High School Prom.  And, you all  know what that entails.  Today was nails, waxing, etc.  Tomorrow is  her hair appointment at 1:00.  The limo will be here to pick her up at 5:00.  Her date and his family will be here at around 4:30 so I must entertain them.  I will be serving coffee and bakery cookies.  I will post pictures as soon as hubby loads them on the computer.

I am so excited for her but I do wish I could just get in bed and sleep.  My coumadin levels are, once again, way too high.  I was at the center this morning and had them checked.  8.8 is just way too high.  I can't understand why my levels have fluctuated so since I first went on coumadin over two years ago. Hilja sent me this great link about two weeks ago.   Ivanhoe's Medical Breakthroughs - Taking Warfarin? Know Your Genes Thank you Hilja!! I am going to print this article out again (I did and forgot about it) and bring it back to the center when I go get my levels checked on Monday morning.  I am really starting to get annoyed at this entire coumadin thing.  I was just switched to Jentovan which is a more stable generic form of coumadin.  It's more stable than Warfarin I was told.  But, low and behold my levels "freaked out" still.  When this happens I get the most horrible headache and am so very fatigued.  I just had blood work on Monday and everything looked good.  It's just a pain because when my levels are too high I have to worry about cutting myself.  I even have to be careful when I shave my legs.  Needless to say for the next few days my legs will have to remain hairy.  Even a bump on the head could be life threatening.

Aside from my trival stuff I am asking for you to pray for.....

Krissy and John......Sometimes I Think.  John received devastating news and they both need moral support and lots and lots of hugs.  Please visit Krissy's journal and send some hugs and prayers.

I'm also praying for Missy.  My dear friend needs lots of prayers.  Please acknowledge her in your prayers tonight. Journey Into A New Life

Prayers for Karyl's brother in-law virgil.  He just had double amputation surgery and is in so much pain.  Karyl's Glimpses of Eternity--  Lupus and Life

Loving Loretta.  She is having a difficult lupus time lately.  It's so very difficult for her.  She has a young child.  Please send her some prayers as well.  LORETTA'S LIFE WITH LUPUS JOURNAL

Praying for all my Lupie friends.

Truth and Consequences

Truth and Consequences

God forgives sin, when we muster the courage to repent, and helps us move on, but  he does not usually cancel the consequences of sin. God allows those consequences to take their course, even for believers, for several reasons: 1) to remind us of our potential for sinning, 2) to encourage us to turn from sin and to more constantly depend on God, and 3) to prepare us to face other, even stronger temptations in the future.

Pain, spine and the like

Hiya, I haven't written anything serious for a while now.  I've been feeling so fatigued.  Basically, all I do is lay on the couch and sleep on and off.  I try to do things but it's just impossible.  It's hard enough for me to get into the shower and I have to admit that I have been neglecting that.  Mainly like I said because of the fatigue but I am just afraid to stand in the shower for fear that I will pass out or my legs will give out.  So I usually wait for there to be someone home.  Preferably Gary.  I don't know how much more of this leg pain I can take.  It's forced me to live each day taking the "Big Gun" meds.  Which is likely the reason I need to sleep so much.  That and I believe that I am flaring in some way.  It's these headaches and nausea that is killing me these days.

I'm waiting for Dr. C. to call and go over the MRI of my lumbar spine.  I did get a copy of the report from the secretary. The report read like this:

The alignment of the lumbar vetebral column is intact.  Heterogeneous marrow signal is noted within multiple lumbar betebral bodies. At the L2-3 interspace, degenerative disc disease with disc narrowing and hypertrphic bone formation is present. Mild bilateral foraminal narrowing is secondary to disc bulding is seen.  At L4-5 disc interspace level, severe degenerative disc disease with nearly complete disc obliteration of the disc space.  At L5-S1 disc interspace level, prominent bilateral facet and ligamentation Lavum hypertrophy is noted.  At the neural forminal narrowing secondary to a combinationof facet hypertrophy and symmetric pertrusion of disc material is noted.

What ever this means it sounds pretty bad.  It, to me, explains the pain I have in my legs and back.  Most days I cannot tolerate the pain in my legs and it is very difficult to walk.  Back pain upon rising in the moring.  Which is indictive of my anklosing spondolytis.  The reactive marrow changes are hematomas .  I have them throughout my body.

The CAT Scan of my pelvis and abdomen show an 8mm low density lesion within the left lobe of my liver.  They think its a cyst.  I also have a stone in my kidney.

I'd appreciate any input from you guys.  This whole spine thing has me a little bugged.

Monday Morning Question:

Monday Morning Question: From Krissy's Journal

What is your favorite Beatles song?

My answer:  Love Me Do (I just love the Beatles!!!)

Which one is your favorite?

Love Me Do

Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I’ll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I’ll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Someone to love,
Somebody new.
Someone to love,
Someone like you.

Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I’ll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.

Love, love me do.
You know I love you,
I’ll always be true,
So please, love me do.
Whoa, love me do.
Yeah, love me do.
Whoa, oh, love me do.

Donna (Nonna355) posted this on the Lupus General Discussion Message Board (Monday Thoughts) and I wanted to share it with  you guys. Thank you Donna for posting this.  It's important for me to show  you when I am feeling great and feeling happy.

Please remember that this is meant for entertainment purposes only. I do not believe any of it.  As far as I am concerned (and I can only speak of how my husband, Gary, is) men are wonderful.  My husband is the most amazing man I know.  He has been my rock.  I could not get along in this world without him.  Especially since I have gotten sick.  Gary has taken on most of the responsibility of running this house.  He takes care of me with love and kindness.  If it weren't for him I have no idea how I would be able to get along in this life.  He is my best friend, my lover and my confident.  He is the an amazing father.  He can do anything. This passage is not my opinion.

God made men and women to complement each other with the unique traits each were given....

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They carry childen, they carry hardships, they carry burdens, yet they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

Woman wait by the phone for a "safe at home call"  from a friend, after a snowy drivehome.

They are childcare workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home moms, biker babes, and your neighbors.

They wear suits, jeans, and uniforms.
They fight for what they believe in.Theystand up against injustice. They walk and talk the extra mile to get their kids into the right schools and to get their family the right health care.

They go to the doctors with a frightened friend.  Woman are honest, loyal and forgiving.

They are smart, they know that knowledge is power, but they still know how to use their softer side
to make a point.

Women want to be the best for their family,
their friends, and themselves.Their hearts break when a friend dies. They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

A woman can make a romatic evening unforgettable. Women come in all sizes,in all colors and shapes. They live in houses, apartments, and cabins. They drive, fly, walk, run, or email you to show how much they care about you,

The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin.

Woman do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends.

And all they want in return is a hug, a smile.
and for you to do the same for people you come in contact with

Men are good at lifting heavy stuff and killing bugs.

Can this be a better day?  I don't think so.  We just got the news that hubby was accepted for a new job.  He intervewed yesterday and they called him today.  This is an answer to prayer.  Praise God....  As many of you know we have been experiencing major financial problems since I stopped working due to my illness.  We have been praying for a miracle and this is it.  God is Good.

Hubby deserves this too.  He is so qualiflied for this job.  His experience and knowledge (and of course personality) were the major factors for him being offered this job.
