THE SUNDAY SEVEN (a day late)

From Patrick's Place

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
Take a look at your immediate surroundings.  Not counting your computer, printer, other hardware, software or cables, name seven non-computer things that are on your computer table.

Either answer the question in a comment or answer it in your journal and include the link in a comment.  (To be considered "first to play," a link must be to the specific entry in which you answered the question.)

1.  An ashtray (yes, I know)

2.  A Daily Scripture Meditation Calendar

3.  My High School yearbook

4.  Poetry by Robert Frost

5.  My Special Occasions to Remember book

6.  The Da Vinci Code (I didn't read it, Gary did)

7.  E-Z Pass Statement

1) read the DaVinci code...very thought provoking and well written

2) you need some fun stuff - like pictures near your computer

3) so when will the ashtray finally be a thing of the past Ms Lu???  My mom is almost completely quit and she doesn't have your health problems... let's go!  Drink water and eat celery and put down the cigs.

Finally - I love you, dear one...here is a hug! {{ Luanne }}

Be well,
Dawn

((((((((Lu)))))))) I hope the ashtray will soon be a thing of the past. DH read the Da Vinci Code and really liked it. They are making it into a movie starring Tom Hanks. Sorry, random.

Hugs,
Susan

What do I have on my desk? The computer tower, monitor, speakers, a broken figuerine, mementoes of one kind or another from the days when I could travel, The Giant Book of Dirty Books, a storage rack (made of wood) where computer programs and relaxation, meditation CD's are stored, my card case, my working stack of floppies, a digital camere, a phone that doesn't ring (because it's wired through the computer making it a computer dedicated line and a whole slew of CD's (either recorded or those upon which I was unsuccessful; I don't differentiate, the manual for one my Digital cameras, pencils & pens in a jar, an authentic replicate of Gallieo's Marometer (about 12 inches in height; showing current barometric pressure is 86, three decks of cards, a scotch tape dispenser, a plastic jar of 500 paperclips, a picture of my Niece and a four inch replica of what humans think Aliens look like, e.g. gray body, slanted slits for eyes and something barely recognizable as a nose and mouth.

As far as your headache goes, a Neuroligist I have gives me samples every time I see him of a drug named Imitrex, and I also get on Rx. basis. It takes a Narcotic to wipe out my terminal Migraine which developed right after brain surgery, and the injections of Imitrex knockme out and give me a couple hours of reast in peace! At the least increase and decrease of barometric pressure (currently at 86%) I have that woozy feeling upstairs, too, like me brain is floating. But then again the part of my brain still left there has plenty of room to float around. Including the grade six tumor and all of my cerebral cortex it ate up while trying to be dx'd (total of ten years) amounted to losing the right, front two-thirds of my brain.
