Somewhere Down The Road

So much pain and no good reason why
You cried until the tears run dry
Nothing else can make you understand
The one thing that you held so dear
Is slipping from your hand

And you say
Why, why, why
Does it go this way
And why, why, why
And all I can say is

Somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will have the answers
At the end of the road

Yesterday I thought I'd seen it all
I thought I'd climbed the highest wall
But now I see that learning never ends
And all I know to do is keep on walking
'Round the bend

Why, why, why
Does it go this way
Why, why, why
And all I can say is

Somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
And they will hold the answers
At the end of the road

Somewhere, somewhere down
And somewhere down the road
There'll be answers to the questions
Somewhere down the road
Though we cannot see it now
And somewhere down the road
You will find mighty arms reaching for you
They will have the answers
At the end of the road

They will have the answers
At the end of the road

Somewhere down the road, yeah
Somewhere, somewhere
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere down the road
Why, why, why
There will be arms reaching, down the road
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere
Oooh

AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT (or should I say that's what Faith Hill has to say about it!)

Maybe you have no comments on this because everyone else is feeling lazy or something.  But thats an awesome poem.  So darn good.  Maybe it should be published.  It would make a good song too.

I have never heard this song, Lu. Is the title Somewhere Done the Road? It looks like a song I will enjoy. (((((HUGS)))))

Actually, it is a song that was written and recorded by Amy Grant.  I didn't even know Faith Hill had a version, but I'm sure it pales in comparison to Amy's version ;).  Faith seems to be an Amy fan, as this is not the only Amy Grant song she has recorded.

Thank you I must find Amy's version and hear it.  I have heard some of Amy's other work before and am awed by it.
